Yesterday was a historic day, and I witnessed it live. All the emotions I felt during the day were of the charts. I felt inspired, excited, proud and so many more emotions. For the first time ever in my life I believe ANYTHING is possible for my future kids. I don’t like to bring race and stuff into my blog often. I could not help but think of Martin Luther Kings Speech.
These two quotes stuck out the most for me
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character “
The American people have voted for man based his Character
I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of “interposition” and “nullification” — one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.
Barack has shown that because he holds hands with white black and everything in between..

Pride in Barak is one thing-stupidity is another. This goes out to all the black people who are celebrating our Obama victory. First he is not a black man. Biologically, he is as much black as he is white. Who are we to claim him as our own? Arguably, he is more white than he is black. He did not grow up in the black community, he did not go to black schools, he did not grow up as a black man with black friends. He changed his name to Barry to fit in. He knew his dad for a month. He he has a white heritage, with white literacy, and white values. Not black ones. Why can’t the United States stop with the race card and the check the box category. Obama himself, has not played the race card. He is neither black nor white, he is both. So please, stop calling him the first black American president. It is even more a racist thing to do to call him a black man -because what y’all reinforcing is the Jim Crow laws-do you really want to go there? Let’s get real people-a drop of black blood doesn’t make you black. Not in 2008. Most half white and half blacks are disowned by the black community and shunned by the white-they fit in no where. So, what- now that this guy looks black and runs for office we claim him as our own? Turned on BET today? The first black president? I think not. Wishful thinking. WAKE UP! How hypocritical can we get-and how convenient. To solve the black white issue-to make up for years of discrimination- is not to call Obama a black man. If anything, the thugs, drug pushers, excuse making, baby daddy’s and black women will suffer as a result of Obama’s presidency. Obama is not concerned with your thug ass. Now we black men have an added pressure (ladies-your black ass attitude has to go), to live up to all we can be. Thanks Barak! He did it – and now, so can we. For my black ladies-stop saying that if a black man gets famous he runs off and gets his white girl. Clearly, Mr Obama was always successful and didn’t get his white girl. If you really want to respond to the “I have a dream speech” then REALLY LISTEN TO IT –the speech goes: by the content of character not color of skin!!!!!!!! Doesn’t this then fly in the face of what we are doing? Doesn’t calling Barak obama a black man and categorizing him as such, eliminate that which MLK stated? He wasn’t part of the slave trade. Would he be less black if his wife was white? Would he then be a white guy with a tan? Would we disown him? I can tell you a lot of strong black women would NOT have supported him as a brother over PRINCIPLE (the only one they seem to care about). Yea, the pickins are slim in fine black brothers but that don’t make all of us dawgs yo! We don’t even get a chance before you want to open a can of verbal whoop ass on us. While the black community thought this never would have happen-the white community was hopeful it would. Why? This election changed things- white people who did not have slaves, or ancestors of slaves- are tired of apologizing for shit they had nothing to do with, No white person wants to hear this black race card crap from the black community anymore. Africa today is a much worse place to be- even the brothers in prison know that. What our ancestors bared in pain, gave us a lottery ticket. I don’t know about you but the HIP HOP peeps need to support real change not propagate black thug stereotypes. Obama as a BLACK president means whites can get rid of affirmative action.-they owe us nothing. No special grants- no special privileges, nothing. If you really want to live up to this change-don’t take a jobs you are less qualified for because of a minority quota. Have some pride.
Black people did not elect this president. White people did. The bar has been raised now, so get your thug ass out of jail and support your kids. Ladies stop getting knocked up and blaming the system or the crackers. You chose to get knocked up-now deal with it. Brothers-be a man. Get over slavery as an excuse, get a job, stop having unprotected sex and babies you cant support . Accept responsibility as Bill Cosby said. The real change is up to you. Barak is a man. Not a BLACK MAN-just a man who happens to be half genetically black.
